Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the project management of agile team which includes the creation, development, and maintenance of project plans, risk logs, and issue management
- Act as the scrum master in agile development team, ensuring the team follows the processes and acting as a coach
- Proactively identify and manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency plans
- Proactively identifies and manages roadblocks for the team and works with stakeholders to remove those roadblocks
- Define project requirements, including leading and eliciting requirements gathering
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives
- Analyze risks and opportunities and develop mitigations plans
- Proactively identify and manage changes to project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency plans
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
- Provide leadership in responding to problem-solving and dispute resolution of project issues
- Provide internal and external training on new and existing processes
- Participate in and support process improvement activities within the department and company- wide
- Present recommendations, status updates and other project information to senior leadership
- Complete special project or other duties as assigned
- Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
- Interact with all levels of internal and external personnel.
- Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work with general instructions on new assignments.
- Expected to be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision. Does not supervise others.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience in software product development, ideally working with direct ties to the e-commerce industry
- Experience with Agile software development a required.
- Solid project management foundation and a firm understanding of project management concepts
- Experience serving as scrum master role in development process, coordinating closely with product manager and/or product owner to manage successful delivery of project roadmap
- Experience in creating and managing requirements for development in both waterfall and agile software development environments
- Knowledge of ecommerce or payment domain and ability to analyze technical requirements a plus
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate technical concepts and processes in non-technical language
- Ability to make prudent business decisions using fact-based analysis and collaborative decision- making skills
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
- Amenable to work 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday
