Scrum Master

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the project management of agile team which includes the creation, development, and maintenance of project plans, risk logs, and issue management 
  • Act as the scrum master in agile development team, ensuring the team follows the processes and acting as a coach 
  • Proactively identify and manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency plans 
  • Proactively identifies and manages roadblocks for the team and works with stakeholders to remove those roadblocks 
  • Define project requirements, including leading and eliciting requirements gathering 
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports 
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives 
  • Analyze risks and opportunities and develop mitigations plans 
  • Proactively identify and manage changes to project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency plans 
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants 
  • Provide leadership in responding to problem-solving and dispute resolution of project issues 
  • Provide internal and external training on new and existing processes 
  • Participate in and support process improvement activities within the department and company- wide 
  • Present recommendations, status updates and other project information to senior leadership 
  • Complete special project or other duties as assigned 
  • Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. 
  • Resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. 
  • Interact with all levels of internal and external personnel. 
  • Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work with general instructions on new assignments. 
  • Expected to be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision. Does not supervise others.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or equivalent work experience 
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in software product development, ideally working with direct ties to the e-commerce industry 
  • Experience with Agile software development a required. 
  • Solid project management foundation and a firm understanding of project management concepts 
  • Experience serving as scrum master role in development process, coordinating closely with product manager and/or product owner to manage successful delivery of project roadmap 
  • Experience in creating and managing requirements for development in both waterfall and agile software development environments 
  • Knowledge of ecommerce or payment domain and ability to analyze technical requirements a plus 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate technical concepts and processes in non-technical language 
  • Ability to make prudent business decisions using fact-based analysis and collaborative decision- making skills 
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management 
  • Amenable to work 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday
